Beverly Ohlendorf
I am Beverly Ohlendorf, the ESL teacher at Northview and Jenkins. I have taught previously at Alexander County in the 4th Grade for 4 years. I am pleased to be on the Northview staff serving the ESL population. My strength is in English and Grammar, so I really enjoy working with students who are learning to read, speak, understand and write English better. I was born and raised in Iowa, and I am a graduate of Northwestern College in Orange City, Iowa, where I got my Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education. Northwestern is a small private Liberal Arts College, with pride in their high standard of excellence.
We have now lived in North Carolina for 25 years; in fact I live in Alexander County where my husband, Ray, is a Lutheran Pastor. I have two grown children. My daughter, Rachel, is married and lives in Woodbridge, VA with her husband, Larry and my sweet grandchildren, Daniel, Mercedes, and Abigail. My son, John, is also married and lives in Annandale , VA with his wife Erika and my darling granddaughter, Claire and their adorable three-year old son, John, Jr. (Jack) John is an attorney in a law firm in Washington, DC.
