Patrick Tate

Welcome to my webpage.  My name Patrick Tate. I am currently in my second year as the eighth grade Special Education Teacher here at Northview Middle School. I have degrees in Sociology from UNC-Chapel Hill, Special Education from Winston Salem State University, Masters of School Administration from Appalachian State University, and Education Specialist from Wingate University. I am currently working on my Doctorate of Educational Leadership from Wingate University.  I have been in education for twenty-one years. I have been blessed to serve in elementary school, high school, and now middle school. I have served in many capacities in my career including In-School Suspension Coordinator, Special Education teacher, Freshman Academy Director and Assistant Principal. I enjoy being in the classroom and watching learning take place. I believe that all students can learn and it is up to us to create an environment to allow that to happen.  I have one daughter, Kennedy, and she is the sunshine of my life.
