Kricia Leasure-Diaz

Hello, my name is Kricia Diaz and I’m delighted to teach 8th grade ELA. Although I was born in Texas, I grew up in Pennsylvania, then moved to North Carolina where I’ve lived most of my life. I received a B.A. in English from Appalachian State University and recently completed my studies for a Graduate Certificate in Middle and Secondary Teaching at Appalachian State University. I believe in the power of education to equip students for success and will endeavor to make learning relatable to real world experiences. My husband and I have two children, ages 10 and 13, and three Standard Poodles, Macy, Lady and Coco, who are convinced they are also humans! We love road trips on the spur of the moment to whatever last-minute destination we decide on.
