Target is inviting its guests to donate $5 million to schools across the country through its Give With Target program. The campaign, which just launched, helps ensure that teachers and students have the resources they need to start the new year off right. Beginning Aug. 15th, guests may begin voting for their local schools by visiting Target’s Facebook page. Once a school has received 25 votes, Target will donate $1 per vote, with a maximum donation of $10,000 per school. At the end of the campaign, the school that reaches 10,000 votes first or receives the highest number of votes will receive a special celebration! What if you didn’t have to worry about you and your child selling anything? What if the money you donate goes 100% to the school? Not only would you be helping your child’s school, but it is a tax deduction for you!

Here’s how you do it!

Write a check for your chosen level to Northview PTA and attach to form.  PTA will get you a receipt for your donation. PLUS, will send you a reminder tax receipt in the new year.  Return form with money.

Here’s what we got for our money last year:

The combination of school funds with PTA donations qualified Northview for the matching $10,000.00 district grant. 100% of the $20,000.00 investment was allocated to classroom resources. We are proud to say we have fulfilled our goal for each classroom to be equipped with a presentation station which includes a computer, projector, interactive whiteboard, wireless accessibility and a document camera.

Here’s what your money goes for!

If we reach our goal of $5,000 it will be matched by Hickory Public Schools which is basically free money for our school. Mrs. Dischiavi will allocate all donations to go towards technology again as well as support teacher’s needs to better educate our children.
