About me: I am a native of Richmond, Virginia. I graduated from Warren Wilson College in Asheville, North Carolina with a Bachelor's degree in History and Secondary Education. I received my Master's degree in History and Secondary Education from Appalachian State University in August of 2010. In November 2011 I received my National Board Certification in Early Adolescence/Social Studies-History. I previously taught at Wilkes Central High School and Catawba Valley High School. This is my 10th year teaching, I have been at Northview Middle School since 2010. Outside of school, I enjoy working on vehicles, computers and woodworking. I enjoy reading history and traveling. I live in Hickory and enjoy being a member of this community.
