Chris Parsons is a native of Fall Branch, Tennessee. He currently lives in Bethlehem with his wife, Lindee Parsons, the Northview Media Coordinator, and a menagerie of pets. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree from East Tennessee State University and his Master of Arts degree from Gardner-Webb University.

For over twenty eight years, Chris has shared his love of the arts with countless students. He has taught visual arts, music and theater in and out of the school setting. Although well known for his unique fantasy collage art, He has continued to hone and refine his artistic style and techniques. In his latest works Chris has focused on merging traditional landscape oil painting with modern oil enamel space art. The marriage of the different styles and techniques have produced some images that he likes to call "Spacescapes".
Chris' artwork has been on display in a variety of galleries in North Carolina including The Historic Gertrude Smith House in Mount Airy, Lenoir Rhyne University, The Hiddenite Center, and The Rock School in Valdese. His work has been purchased for private collections throughout the United States and around the world.

Chris' influences include Salvador Dali, Pablo Picasso, Vincent Van Gogh, Frank Frazetta, Boris Vallejo, and Bob Ross. He relies on a blend of styles and techniques to create his unique images. Chris draws his inspiration from nature, mythology, religion, science fiction, and popular culture.

MIDDLE SCHOOL ART

Middle school art is an introduction to the world of art. Students will be exposed to a wide variety of art styles and movements. They will also have the opportunity to experience using various art materials and media such as drawing, painting, collage, crafting, and sculpting. Middle school art is the gateway to more advanced art courses in high school and collage, and to possible careers in art.
