The Northview PTA works to raise funds for teacher and classroom resources and technology, as well as other worthwhile expenses such as landscaping, staff appreciation, school nurse supplies, student assistance for field trips, etc.

Help Northview by joining the PTA – your membership dues are the foundation of our budget. You really don’t HAVE to do anything else (unless you want to). You DON’T have to come to any meetings! You DON’T have to volunteer!

However, there are BENEFITS to joining the PTA:

• Be notified about and have a voice in things affecting your child’s school
• Build your parent network and share information
• Help with decision-making, like how the funds are used
• Be able to vote on the PTA budget

PTA members have volunteer opportunities (volunteering is optional, NOT required):

• Work at the school store
• Contribute food for teacher appreciation lunches
• Help with the student uniform care closet (helps students who otherwise would not have clothes for school)
• Staff the cafeteria during lunches to give teachers a break
• Stuff backpacks or sponsor a child for the Backpack Program providing weekend nourishment to students who are hungry
• Proctor during testing
• Assist with fundraising for much needed resources for our school
